Austin, who would also voice him in Go, Diego, Go!. Diego was voiced by Gabriel Alvarez for most of this season (just like in some mid Season 3 episodes), but in Dora and Diego to the Rescue! and Dora Saves the Mermaids, he was voiced by Jake T.This is the first season where Swiper joins Dora on some of her adventures, that episode being Swiper the Explorer. The episodes he was on his good side are as follows: Dora's Got a Puppy, A Crown for King Juan el Bobo (briefly after King Juan el Bobo tells him a joke which he finds very funny, that being "Swoopy, no doopy!"), Dora's Dance to the Rescue, Dora's World Adventure!, Dora Saves the Mermaids, and Swiper the Explorer. This season holds the most times Swiper was seen on his good side.He was absent in these episodes: Dora's Fairytale Adventure, Big Sister Dora, Catch the Babies, and Dora and Diego to the Rescue! (excluding the theme song and his character find segment). This is the first season where Swiper was absent in more than one episode in a single season, because in Seasons 1 and 3, he was absent once, that being Te Amo for Season 1 and Save the Puppies! for Season 3.Most of this season was produced in 2003 due to production on Go, Diego, Go! beginning not long after. He zoom wipes only in the second segment (not the first and/or last) in Dora's Got a Puppy and La Maestra de Música. He zoom wipes only in the first segment in Star Catcher, Dora's Dance to the Rescue, and Dora Saves the Mermaids. He zoom wipes in the second and last segments (not the first) in A Crown for King Juan el Bobo.He zoom wipes in the first and last segments (not the second) in Daisy, La Quinceañera, Super Babies, The Mixed-Up Seasons, Baby Jaguar's Roar, and The Shy Rainbow. He did not zoom wipe at all in these episodes: Dora's Fairytale Adventure, Big Sister Dora, Catch the Babies, Dora and Diego to the Rescue!, Dora's First Trip (there was no Map segment in the episode because in the story, Dora did not have him or Backpack), Dora's World Adventure!, Star Mountain, Baby Crab, Super Spies 2: The Swiping Machine, We're a Team! (Map segments only), Save Diego!, and Swiper the Explorer.Map still zoom wipes in this season, but not in every episode. He now uses this method for the rest of the show. Speaking of Map, this season is technically the return of "So you tell Dora…", except instead of saying it before repeating the places (he still says "So remember…" before doing so), he says it in a way to encourage the viewers to "tell Dora" that she needs to go to the first/next location, like this: ("So you tell Dora, first/next we have/need to go to !").The path then traces to the next location and the blue cursor clicks on it, and Map asks the viewer to tell Dora and Boots where they need to go next. This season abandons the picture pop-up sequence (except Star Catcher, Dora's World Adventure!, and Dora Saves the Mermaids) and introduced a new way for Dora and Boots to track their progress: they check in on Map every time they pass a place and he (Map) would place a red checkmark to indicate it is done. Therefore, it was technically made from 2004-2005, but the copyright year goes by completion year, so it says "2005". However, Dora's Dance to the Rescue might have possibly started being in production that year (around mid or late 2004) and got finished in early or mid 2005.There are no episodes produced in 2004.For the double-length episodes, episode #2 was produced in late 2003, the 11 th was produced in early or mid 2005, the 15 th was produced in early or mid 2006, and the 19 th was produced in early or mid 2007.This season was mostly produced in 2003, while episodes from Seasons 2 and 3 were airing. Two asterisks (**) signify an episode that was held back or aired early. ![]() An asterisk (*) signifies a double-length episode.Episodes are listed by airing order, and not the order they were produced. This is a list of Dora the Explorer episodes from Season 4 that aired between October 6, 2003-March 21, 2010. ![]()
